I had a chance to visit southern California for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was balmy weather that I’m dreaming of since it’s below freezing and snowing in New Jersey. I had a job interview and my first ever press trip – it was quite the five days! Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip. Enjoy!
- Palm trees in Anaheim on the way back to the first of 3 hotels I stayed in.
- Surfer at the Katin Pro-Am. It was chilly and cloudy, and I didn’t envy them being in the water. But I did envy the seeming ease with which they surfed!
- It had been a long day, why wouldn’t I lounge on the couch in my robe and slippers?
- At the end of the whale watching tour, we passed the “seal buoy”.
- Stopping for a rest
- The koi pond at the Mission, San Juan de Capistrano
- At Laguna Beach – I now fully and completely understand the romance and appeal of “long walks on the beach.” I knew it in a logical sense before, but now I know it personally and emotionally – granted I could probably know it more while walking with a significant other, but one step at a time!
- My footprints on the beach
- Birds over the water
- Playing with the panorama setting on my new camera. I did it “wrong” but I like the outcome

Nice pics! The seals are so cute! I like visiting CA but I wouldn’t want to live there again. That said, I would love some balmy weather right about now.
